Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Our server was excellent! Food was good, generous pours… and they are open on Monday! Big plus. My filet was not the best I had ever had, and the cut was a little weird but I couldn’t really complain. It had great flavor. Just took a bit of knife work. The. Mashed potatoes were great. The bacon deviled eggs were a table pleaser. French onion soup was 8/10. Our server was fantastic and the cherry on top. Service was great."
"Went to Pop’s as we have friends with whom we tour supper clubs. As with most supper clubs, Pop’s has a generous selection of steaks, chicken and chops. I ordered a pork chop which was cooked perfectly. My wife had a steak which was also perfect. The served was quite attentive. The owners were present and working the room. We weren’t allowed to leave without trying an ice cream drink, which was also great. We would go back, or try one of their other restaurants for that matter."
"Absolutely loved this place!! The service from the khayats restaurant group is always a great experience. This did not disappoint from the greetings of hello & welcome from everyone we encountered to the thank you & good bye’s. Stephanie was our server & we did the table side Brandi old fashioned she was awesome! Relaxed, accommodating & fun. The food we had was definitely elevated comfort food, worth every penny! Pops cabbage rolls were absolutely the best I have ever eaten, the crab cake is in my top three & the chicken cordon bleu was great & the sauce was a classic with just a touch of Dijon, super elevated good but not bougie. This place felt so new & modern but had a great comfort to it. I am a life long chef & restauranteur & I find most dining experiences extremely disappointing. The khayat group definitely sets the benchmark every time they open & Pops absolutely crushed it, love the old school food that reinvented with quality & experience, thanks for a great date night!"
"As part of a group that explores Wisconsin Supper clubs I gave POP’s 5 Stars! The menu has such great variety and every entree we ordered was superb. The service was equal to that of a 5 star restaurant in Chicago. Although the outside wooded cabin exterior does not match the glam of the interior I appreciated both! Supper clubs are starting to evolve even in Wisconsin and Pop’s is a perfect example. Having both owners circulating and accessible was another reason I gave them 5 stars!"
"We came here on a Saturday night at 4:30 with a group of 10. We were told 60-90 minutes, but the owner found us a booth. Our server was amazing and constantly checking on us since it was my friend’s birthday and the drinks were flowing. I ordered a 6 oz filet which came with a twice baked potato and green beans. It came with a soup AND salad. My husband had the 16 oz ribeye which he said was tender. Since it was my friend’s birthday they brought out a cupcake with a sparkler in it. The owner even came over with free limoncello shots. Our bill for my 6 oz filet, ribeye, 2 beers, and 2 proseccos was $168. I will definitely be back. The ONLY negative thing I will say is I feel that for parties of 6 or more they should take reservations so big groups aren’t congregated around the bar."
"Visiting from out of town and loved having something in this area for dinner. Love the space. Not sure about gambling area in such a nice restaurant . Good service, relish tray and soup and salad was a nice touch in addition to our dinners. We sampled lasagna, halibut and shrimp scampi. The only drawback was the water smells like sulfur so we all had to order something else to drink. Very unexpected for a nice space. Also please don't gather lights off of the tables as you reset in the evening. It makes everyone feel rushed and you're going to close up while they're sitting and eating."
"Beautiful evening at a beautiful new Supper club. And the Hosts were amazing as they always have been! What a wonderful atmosphere owners Chris and Christian Khayat have created. The food was delicious! The salad was fresh and crisp, the Escargot was delicious, the prime rib was juicy and tender and the brownie sundae was truly the cherry on top! Excellent service from valet (no charge), servers and bartenders. Great night!"
"Well we finally committed to waiting it out and it wasn’t bad. 50 mins (told 90) on a Saturday night where we eventually got seats at the bar, drinks and cheese curds. We were seated in the room that is to the north, marked as the private room, but there were five or six tables in there last night. I liked the quieter setting but it was weird that they had multiple servers assigned to these tables - our waitress was awesome but there were sometimes big gaps between her loops in to see us. The table next to us got their main courses when we were getting soup (which was delicious but … slow). All in we were in the building about three hours which was a lot. As for the food and supper club vibe / all done well. The relish tray could be a bit more generous - a few thin breadsticks, tiny scoops of cheese. The bean salad (not my favorite) was the only thing plentiful. The salads and soup were good. We had a variety of dishes on the table including ribs, prime rib, rack of lamb, pork schnitzel. Everyone said they liked their main course. The desserts were enjoyed as well, especially beignets. Prices were reasonable. We will go back but just have appropriate expectations on timing."
